I believe they are waiting to see if the roster that comes out next has improved speed for vets or like it was with the default roster.

I understand that, but that isn't my question. I know Hayne wasn't on the roster when the game came out but I wasn't sure if there has been a roster update since then that includes players who weren't on the game before that have made rosters. I don't see a point of starting 1 day before the roster update if that roster update will include players like Hayne who part of a real team.

I think hes on the latest update because i have seen him in draft champions and MUT

See that is my point. 2 guys on the 53 roster for the 49ers aren't in the game. We have waited this long what is one more day so we can have accurate rosters which I think is important?

It doesn't benefit us in waiting for a roster update to add a few undrafted or late round picks in place of the 75-man rosters unless there is a ratings update as well (which it doesn't appear to be). I can appreciate why you would want the Aussie but I hope you can appreciate that having full preseason rosters and free agents as of the start of camp is better overall for the league. :)

Our intent was never to use updated rosters. We will be playing the preseason so everything that has happened this preseason did not happen in our worlds. The patch delay set us back. Had we started as planned the rosters would have been deal fault anyway and it still would have been a great league : D

I would have to disagree, why would people not want the players that are actually on the teams? I am confused on how getting the roster update would make the pre-season and free agents any different? All the free agents that have signed with a team (Michael Vick, Tim Jennings, etc) would actually be on the correct team. And I am sure the 49ers aren't the only team who will be missing players from the team.

Because we would be playing the preseason. And most of those signings did not happen before the preseason started. So 24 new owners get a shot to add players to improve their teams on the game vs loading up stacked teams which is what most of the free agents did in real life.

Again, had we started a week ago as planned it wouldn't be an issue. I can appreciate your perspective, but I think you are failing to see the larger one, which is replaying the preseason from the beginning with rosters as of the preseason.

And having accurate rosters bc of a few players is pointless due to free agency and guys trading. Rosters then are going to look much different anyway.

Couldn't you import players that were missing from teams in the initial release and just keep the free agents the same? That way every team has the chance to keep or cut the players who were actually with a team in the preseason?

It's really a no win situation because there is always going to be something that isn't 100% accurate when you compare it to real life rosters/ratings. Lets say Dri Archer goes off tomorrow with all the suspensions then whoever the pitt owner would want to wait till the roster update comes out bc he is rated to low. Once you get into that game then you will always be waiting on something.

They are, but again, we're talking about undrafted guys and late round picks. What if those guys come in at 65 OVR? Was that worth waiting for? What if they are higher but the guys bust? I get you have a unique guy on your and if you want to find another league that is starting after the preseason and using the updated rosters I understand. But again, its whats better for the whole, and outside of one or tow teams, its not going to effect most guys (if them).

And no it does not look like you can edit the 75-man roster.

The only reason we would use updated rosters is if they update speed ratings. Otherwise we lose the whole purpose of the preseason which most of us probably want to do to get used to our teams and playbooks.

sorry I'm lazy. went one page back and saw this. Rex confirmed on twitter veteran speeds would be adjusted. So that means we will use the updated roster right?

Where did he say that? He said it would be adjusted at some point but I did not see anything confirming it would be for sure with this roster update
