Titans Top Ravens in thriller 28-24, Move on to Divisional Round
"Wow, what a game" Marcus Mariota said after the game. The Ravens would start the scoring off first by returning a punt 58 yards by Mike Wallace for the game's first touchdown. The Ravens would continue scoring in the second quarter by adding a Justin Tucker field goal to make the score 10-0. On the following drive, Marcus Mariota would hit Rishard Mathews on a beautiful streak down the sideline for a 40 yard touchdown. Right before the half, the Ravens would get the ball down to the 1 yard line but had to settle for a field goal.
"Being down 13-7 at half, we weren't too worried, we needed to fix some things but holding them to a field goal before the half was huge", Mike Mularkey said.
The only scoring in the third quarter came on a 9 yard TD run by raven's running back Javorius Allen, Baltimore would also get the 2 point conversion to make the game 21-7 heading into the 4th quarter.
Early in the 4th, the Titans would drive down the field and punch it in the endzone with Derrick Henry to cut the score to 21-14. After a 3 and out from the Ravens, Marcus Mariota would hit Delainie Walker on a 42 yard TD pass to tie up the game at 21. The Ravens would kick a field goal with 1:56 remaining to take a 24-21 lead. On the following drive, Mariota would show lots of poise and take his team down the field. He hit Andre Johnson to get the ball down to the one yard line. After two failed attempts to get the ball into the endzone, Titans fullback Jalston Fowler would pound it in to take the lead 28-24 with 10 seconds left. The Titans would intercept the football on the next drive to end the game.
