Vikings "improve" to 5-0

The Vikings went to Soldier Field and left with a commanding lead in the division after an exciting 35-29 OT victory. Bradford led Minnesota to a quick 13-0 lead in the first quarter and it looked like possibly another blowout. However, the Bears made adjustments as the game went on and really had the Vikings staff on their heels. Coach Zimmer stated "I take pride in keeping my opponents off balance but it was the other way around tonight. It's like they knew what we were running in the 2nd half. We were lucky to get the win."

The offense really played well, especially in the passing game. The game plan going in was to attack the Bears secondary; overall it was a success. If Bradford can eliminate these miserable middle school caliber throws it would make for quite a show. Despite a few misfires, Sensual Sam went 19-29 for 328 yards, 2 TD and 1 INT. Stefon Diggs was his favorite target with 6 catches for 126 yards and 1 TD.

Defense did not impress and they were constantly caught out of position, lending its way to 2 big pass plays of 65 and 75 yard TDs. The Bears torched the Minnesota D in the air, giving up a season high 351 yards passing and 29 points. That being said, Xavier Rhodes ended the game on a pick 6 in OT despite dropping a few picks earlier in the game. Rhodes has truly become a cornerstone for this defense.

Next week the Vikings welcome the Green Bay Packers for another divisional showdown in Minneapolis.
