Titans Top Colts in OT 31-28, Improve to 8-3

The Titans came into this game needing a victory after some bad losses the past couple of weeks. The almost didn't get that victory after being up 21-7 at halftime. The Colts came storming back in the second half of the game. Colts would score a late TD and extra point to take the lead with just over a minute left in the game. Then Marcus Mariota would drive his team down the field and score the game tying touchdown with a TD pass to Green-Beckham with just 4 seconds left to take the game to over time. After a punt from the Colts in overtime, the Titans marched down the field thanks to a long run from Mariota to get the team into field goal range. The Titans would then go ahead and kick the game winning field goal. With this win, the Titans keep pace with the Jaguars who also only have 3 losses. ​

Murray Carries Titans to Victory, Win 31-29

It was a slow and sloppy start for the Titans but Demarco Murray would end up getting hot late in the game and carry the Titans to a much needed victory. "The passing game wasn't working too well, so we just wanted to keep grinding out the run game and luckily some holes started to open up late" Murray said after the game. Murray had a big game, rushing 16 times for 200 yards and 2 TDs.

Titans Win Season Opener vs Browns 35-28

The Titans started off with the year with a big victory on the road, "Any game in the nfl is hard to win, especially on the road", Mariota said after the game. The Titans would take a 21-7 lead going into the half but the Browns would not be denied in the second half. With the Titans leading 35-21 heading into the fourth quarter, the Browns would cut the down to 7 but was unable to tie up the score. Wesley Woodyard would lead the Titans defense with 2 ints and 7 tackles. "You know, I was just in the right place at the right time" Woodyard said of the 2 ints. On the offense, Mariota would throw for 289 yards and 2 TDs.​

Titans win home opener vs Colts, 23-19

This was a good defensive game or you could say a sloppy offensive game. The Colts would lead the Titans 10-3 going into the half. "We just wanted to keep playing our game, to not quit", Coach Mularkey said after the game. Being down 19-13 late in the game, Marcus Mariota would lead a late game drive down the field. With 25 seconds left in the game and 1 time out, the titans decided to hand off the football on the 2 yard like to Derrick Henry. He would pound it in to make the score 23-19. "After the game, I think Mariota is really evolving into one of the games premier QBs" Coach Murlarkey said. In a side not, rookie safety Tony Conner would pick of an Andrew Luck pass and return it 33 yards for a TD, his first career INT and TD.​

Titans defense Stifle Osweiler, win 38-21

One of Jason McCourty's 3 INTs, he would also get credit for 12 tackles, 2 for a loss.

Going into this game there was a lot on the line, a very early sole possession lead in the AFC South. The Titans defense would should up in a big way in this game. "We know this is a tough place to play, we just wanted to come in and set the tone", Wesley Woodyard said after the game who accounted for 8 tackles and 2 INTs for touchdowns.

The Titans would get the scoring going early with a 15 yard TD pass from Mariota to TE Rhett Ellison.

The Titans would score late in the 1st half to take a 28-7 lead going into halftime. The Titans would hold strong in the 3rd and fourth quarter and win the game 38-21.

Rookie SS Jamal Adams delivers a big hit on Lamar Miller to force a fumble, rookie CB Adoree Jackson scoops it up and runs it back for a long TD.

The Titans now have an early AFC South lead and have the 49ers up next.
