Pittsburgh let Bell walk away and now need an NFL ready HB to help lead this team while they still have a franchise QB and in good position to contend. Pittsburgh thinks Ivory is that guy. Jags are looking to get out of the 1st round, and the Steelers were happy to work it in the deal. James will add another weapon to this lackluster offense, and could be what helps them get past the divisional round this year. While he will obviously not be a starter, he will find some time to get on the field. Trading Ivory also sets the stage for the youngster Yeldon to get his time to shine. The 2nd and 3rd round from the Steelers are equated at 580. The first round pick from Jags is 620. I gave the choice to The Steelers owner for another pick or TE Jesse James, and Steelers owner said he would rather let James go. I also let him know we wouldn't be able to submit trade until after advance as Ivory is technically still injured one week. Dumb lol

The picks are a wash, so no real issue there. My question is why the jags are trading Ivory for a 66 ovr tight end. I get he's young, but his attributes aren't that great. It's not a huge deal, but I'd like to hear others thoughts first.

The picks are basically a wash, I agree, so he's essentially sending Ivory for the TE. I might wonder if a new owner was involved but these two aren't going anywhere so I think its close enough. I vote yes.

Jags see something special in this kid. He's young and a nightmare for linebackers. Definitely another weapon for Bortles
