Following 4 year stint under Harbaugh that saw 49ers earned 3 consecutive playoff berths with 1 SB
appearance. The 49ers 2015-2016 campaigns were worth forgetting as both Tomsula and Chip Kelly
combined for just an 7-25 record and back to back trips to the NFC West basement.

While the 2017 season began with HC Kyle Shanahan and GM John Lynch, many experts though
it was gonna be another long season. Although the 49ers started 0-9, things began
to take shape late after acquiring QB Jimmy Garoppolo from NE Patriots. Jimmy G would
go on to llead the 49ers to an 5 game winning streak to close out season. which includes
putting up 44 pts vs Jags defense. Following season, 49ers signed Jimmy G to 5 year contract
    worth $127m.
