After a decent draft and development from young talent, KC is looking to build a strong foundation of leaders to propel team development further. (Also, whoever traded Damon away in the first place should be fired). SF is looking to clear up some money to sign draftees and possibly go after free agents.

Royals Benefits:
  • Clear leader & producer obtained
  • Clears up middle infield log-jam that has plagued the team's lineups
  • Bolsters the bullpen to help keep runs off the board
Giants Benefits:
  • Clears up obvious need for free cash (will gain about $7 mil+ in space)
  • Young talent received in return, especially in the infield
  • Provides flexibility for future moves
