Redskins 0-4 Preseason; Worried?; Injury Update
By Rich Tandler | September 2nd, 2016

After dropping the final two preseason games at home against the Bills 16-10 and at Tampa 26-22, the redskins finished the preseason 0-4. We caught up with Owner and Coach Jonathan O'Connor and asked him if we should be worried about it.

I don't think so at all. We had a definite plan for this preseason, and that was to take a look at our rookie draft class as well as get a good look at how our backups performed. Sure, it would have been nice to squeak out a win against Buffalo or Tampa, it's certainly not time for the sky to be falling. Quite a few key guys didn't play at all in the preseason or had very small limited playing time. We're excited for week 1 to get here so we can showcase the true strength of our team.

O'Connor then expounded on injuries.

Well, we were lucky, as only one of our guys got bit by the injury bug in four weeks of preseason. I know other teams around the league haven't been as lucky, so we definitely count our blessing on that. Sadly, we did suffer an injury against the Buccaneers. As you guys know, in the 3rd quarter of the game, Jeremy (Harris CB) went down on the field and had to be carted off. Unfortunately, he's been diagnosed with a broken collarbone and will be out 8 weeks, at least. We hope for a speedy recovery because he will definitely be missed in our secondary.

The Redskins have 24 hours to make the necessary cuts, add kids to the practice squad, and get the roster down to 53. We will have a full article tomorrow on all the cuts, practice squad additions, and other changes to the roster.
