The new owner/GM was asked about the signing of Tim Jennings. He replied, " We were looking for a veteran to help our secondary. We believe Jennings still has some left, even at age 32, and can provide some leadership to our younger guys."

Owner Andrew Arms stated that lineman Will Beatty was picked up from free agency this morning. Although a LT, Beatty will most likely be moved to the right side to sure up that side of the line. Cuts were also made at the bottom of the roster. Mr. Arms said "We wish all those guys well. Hopefully they can make a roster with another team. We appreciate their hard work so far in camp."

Owner Andrew Arms confirmed the addition of CB Aaron Colvin this morning. Colvin will most likely be our #2 corner to start the season. Roster cuts were also made this morning. Owner Arms talked about the cuts made,"We had to make some moves this morning. We really like some of the players we released today. But that's the business. You have to make some tough decisions and we thought these cuts were the best moves for this team."

The Ravens had to make their final cuts this week to get the team down to the final 53. Some players were released while others were sent to the practice squad. Here is the list.

Week 1

The Ravens made some roster moves this morning.

ADDITIONS

LE Vance Walker

QB Josh Johnson

The Ravens Owner said they have been watching the waiver wire intently looking for someone that could contribute on the defensive line. Apparently they finally found that player. LE Vance Walker was signed this morning. QB Josh Johnson, who was beat by Ryan Mallet for the backup job behind Joe Flacco, was released to make room for Walker. Mr. Arms said in a statement, "Anytime you can find a guy in free agency that can come in and be a starter is a good deal in my eyes." The Ravens believe they have created some good depth at DE now, with this move.They will take on the Buffalo Bills in their next game. We will see if this move actually pays off for them.
