Giving a no. As a prospect, Varitek has degraded slightly and is still not fully developed at 25 1/3. I think if Seattle adds in another solid prospect, then it could work. Frank is an Ace in the current league landscape and has one more year on his deal after this year. That should net Seattle a type A pick + comp if they lose him in FA, or give them a controllable player at 30.

I'm going to say no too. Harikala is pretty much just organizational filler and Varitek probably isnt equal to a top line starter
