Lions midseason update.

Overview

Currently sitting at 5-3 at the top of our division is a decent position to be in... We feel we had some games we should have won that we lost so we need to tighten ship to ensure a playoff berth. Our next opponent is The Green Bay Packers not only a hated division rival but so the team hot on our tails for the division title. A win gives us a small cushion to start the 2nd half of the season.

CONS

We need to step up our defense. To many games our offense would make plays only to have our defense let us down. We are in the bottom half in total defense including 25 in passing and 17th versus the run. That is not good and need to change immediately...

Outlook for 2nd half of season

We being in the drivers seat for the division lead and controlling your own destiny is of course the goal here. But I do not only want to win the division but get a first round bye. That will require our defense to step up. The team with the number 1 seed is only ahead of us by 1 game. So it is very doable. We just need to step it up... But first things first. We have to take this one step at a time... First Step is the cheeseheads next week

Also we signed Haloti Ngata and Tamir Whitehead to keep them around
