So here is a update on what I am doing in my hawks my gm. I am in year 3 I have only made 2 trades and not signed a FA over a 80 (the FA classes have been awful). I will plan on playing and stream game 6 of my NBA finals prob later on tonight.

Year 1 - Lost to Cavs in ECF
Year 2 - Lost to Warriors in NBA finals
Year 3 - Currently In the NBA finals down 3-2 (I won first 2 games)

* ratings counting current streak
PG - Dennis Schroder - 89 ovr
SG - Khris Middleton - 92 ovr
SF - Kent Bazemore - 82 ovr
PF - Al Horford - 87 ovr
C - Walter Tavares - 84 ovr
--------
PF Mike Scott - 81
PG Demetrius Jackson - 81 ovr
SG Kyle Korver - 80 ovr
C Willie Cauley Stein - 78
PG Isaiah Taylor - 76 ovr
PF Lauri Markkanen - 72 ovr
---------
PF Domantas Sabonis - 71 ovr
PG Brian Roberts - 75 ovr
SF Nick Young - 72 ovr
SF Tadas Sedekerskis - 68 ovr

I thought this was going to be a rebuilding year after I lost Paul Milsap and then a majorty of my 2nd unit as they wanted to much $. I also got hit with injury bug as Schrdoer, Sabonis, Horford, Bazemore and Scott all missed major time.

I was able to make the playoffs as a 6th seed. The east is weak and the Cavs with LeBron is once again the #8 seed. So I went through the east with ease only losing a few games. I got off to a 2-0 lead both games in Golden State so I was already planning my victory parade. Then I lose 3 straight one cool thing was the CPU made a change to the starting lineup and went with more of a scorer at Center over Bogurt.

Scott is my secret weapon he is awesome in this game with his release everyone should trade for him. He is a stretch 4, but can also play SF so I like to have him come off the bench. I paid him 10 million per year as I couldn't lose him.

I got Middleton before year 1 in a package for Teague

I love playing with Tavares he has developed to A+ in rebounding and shot blocking and at 7'3 I have a blast using him. He has no offense game other dunks. The other trade I made was getting WCS mid year so I could officially move Horford to PF. I might also trade Jackson he is young with a high rating I just don't play that well with him.

I think I am going to trade Horford this offseason as I don't need him as my young 1st round PF keeps on getting better. I need more depth at the 2 and 3.

The Celtics team I had the high profile series against year 1 now has crazy depth. I have knocked them out of the playoffs all 3 years. They have Isaiah Thomas, Deandre Jordan, Crowder, Giles, Bender, Sullinger, Murray, Mickey, Korkmaz, Mozgov, Rozier, Brewer.

Lol what an ending!

I've always thought of starting up a franchise and maybe not playing any of the games. Maybe just do the sim cast or whatever instead.

Yea it was regular season so I was able to laugh it off still wild. I wasn't asleep at the wheel either I went and played defense on the better of the 2 players forcing them to throw it to the other guy.

What I do is I use the generic simcast for the regular season games and I'll hop into them if they are close in the 4th quarter or so. I will then play all of the playoff games unless I am up like 3-0 or something. This way anytime I play the games mean something.

Last year I did a sim rebuild and played it until release with my hometown team the hawks. I saw myself not playing much the first few months when I got 2k17 so I decided to not worry as much about the sim part and just have fun. I am not just making trades just to cheese the CPU for the heck of it or anything like that. I am in the 4th year mid season with a record of 32 and 9. I am having a blast playing with the team and finally got the team near perfection. I missed the playoffs year 1 and lost in ECF year 2 as I had lots of injuries. I won my first championship in year 3. I will sim the games and jump into them if its close in the 4th quarter. I will play the majority of the playoff games or atleast until I know I have decided the series.

Starters
PG Dennis Schroder - Age 26 & 82 Ovr
I start Dennis at PG as he is my favorite player in real life even though he should be coming off the bench. I am trying to squeeze one more year of starting him till I have to move him. I cant shoot with him, but he has speed and playmaking ability and can drive to the rim. He went down like 2 points this offseason.

SG Stephen Curry - Age 31 & 91 overall.
I got lucky and signed him as a FA after the first year and moved him to SG. Like Dennis his overall went down a little and is now over 30. He is having his best year so far with 28 a game. He has had a few major injuries and still should be a elite shooter for a few more years.

SF Linaglo Ball - Age 21 & 84 ovr (6'6 240)
I had the 6th pick in the draft and traded it along with Paul Milsap and few more draft picks to move up to get him. I expect him to develop into a MVP candidate and take over as the guy as Steph gets older. He came in well rounded and is elite shooter already. It wouldn't surprise me if he becomes the best player in the NBA.

PF Kristop Porzingis - Age 24 & 87 ovr (7'3 240)
I had targeted Cousins for a few years and ended up getting Porzingis as I didn't want to give up one of my PG's. I had to pay a lot for him which was Kevin Love, Josh Jackson, Tauren Prince (77 ovr), and some draft picks one of which is currently at pick 9. I just made this trade so I haven't had a lot of time to use him yet. It also allows me to move him to C if I want to play small. I cant afford to lose him to injury as I don't have a great deal of depth in the frontcourt.

C Walter Tavares - Age 27 & 76 ovr (7'3 260)
With progression and training camps he has improved 8 points or so and is another guy I am have a blast playing with. He gives me two guys that are 7'3 and as soon I made the trade Walter got hurt so I have yet to try them out at the same time. The CPU doesn't play well with him, but when I control him he gets every rebound (A+). He also has 94 shot blocking so that and rebounding are his only jobs. I use him to set screens for Dennis alot as he is a liability on offense.

-----------------------
Bench
PG Markelle Fultz - Age 22 & 84 ovr
After I barely missed the playoffs year 1 I was suppose to have the 10th pick. I got lucky and moved all the way up to #3 and went BPA with a PG. He is becoming a force on offense and can shoot and has A+ in playmaking and A- in athleticism. He should win 6th man of the year again and be a all star next year if he starts.

SF OG Anuby - Age 22 & 78 ovr (6'8 235)
I drafted him with the 1st pick in the 2nd round and started a lot his rookie year due to his injuries. He took a back seat last year and with the recent trade of Prince and Josh Jackson he is seeing a lot of minutes. I almost lost him in FA this past year and I am going to have to pay him this offseason. He is a defense specialists with a rating of A and has A- potential. He is useless on offense outside of layups. When I go small I have started playing him at the 4.

PF Tony Bradley - Age 22 & 77 ovr (6'10 235)
I drafted him in the 20's and while he isn't a complete player he can score down low and rebound with B+ in both of those. I would like to keep him coming off the bench that way he can play the 4 and 5. His rating moved up several points when I moved him to PF. He is a low end double double kind of guy

PF Mike Scott - Age 31 & 75 ovr
He has always played way better in 2k then his rating shows which works out for as he signs for the minimum. He is a perfect stretch 4 off the bench.

-----------------
Reserves
PG Shaun Livingston
SG Seth Curry
SF Deandre Bembry -
He has yet to get a lot of playing time just resigned for the min.
SF Rondae Hollis Jefferson Age 25 & 78 ovr - Don't want to play him unless I have to as I will trade him soon
PF Thomas Bryant - Age 22 & 73 ovr I just signed him last month he was a FA and won't be back
C Marcin Gortat

Cap Room
-4.72 Million
Luxury Tax room 14.82 Million

I have Porzingis signed for 2 more years so he will be 26 then so I'll give him a max deal for however long he wants. Curry also has 2 years to go so he will be 33 then and I am guessing high 80's rating. I am not sure if I will bring him back depends on what my cap situation looks like as I will have to pay Fultz after next year. I am hoping to bring OG Onuby back I just don't want to pay 10 million a year for a defense only guy off the bench so I may let him walk. I had to take on Hollis Jefferson in the Prozingis deal and he is owed 10 million for 2 more years after this one. So I'll dump him for some draft picks this offseason. I will likely have to trade Schroder at some point as he makes 15 million a year and has 2 more years to go. If I want to keep Bradly down the line I'll have to pay him 10 million a year. Tavares and Scott both play for the min and that greatly helps out my cap situation.

Draft Picks
My own 1st for the next 3 years
Pistons 1st this year that's top 10 protected (currently sits at 11)
I traded away all my 2nd round picks

As you will see I decided to shake things up in year 9 or so in my gm and i am having more fun then ever. I started out as gm and they gave me the option of buying the team and I did. My first full year as owner despite winning the title I lost 100 million$. So I traded 2 proven players with high salaries and other picks/players for some rookies.

Starters
Name PG Trae Young
Age 27
Size 6'2 171
Contract 3 million $ for next 2 years
Overall 80
Trade Value 2.5*
Info - He was brought in on a team friendly deal and played solid as the backup PG last year. When longtime all star PG Markelle Fultz was traded that opened the door up for Trae to start. He can hold his own on defense and can also shoot he is a top notch playmaker. With so much talent on this team all the hawks need from him is to play solid and let the other stars win the game.

Name SG Michael Jordan
Age 22
Size 6'6
Contract rookie deal
Overall 84
Trade Value untouchable
Info Funny enough he was expected to go 1st overall and then dropped to the hawks with the 3rd pick. He is a excellent around player and since been drafted worked on his defense to make it even better. With PG being the weak spot on the team expect Jordan to bring the ball up the court a lot. His shoot still needs some work and he is hard to stop when driving to the basket.

Name SF Lianglo Ball
Age 26
Size 6'6 240
Contract 25 million range for next 4 years
Overall 90
Trade Value untouchable
Info - After Stephen Curry moved on a few years ago he became the star of team and he hasn't disappointed leading the team to back to back titles. Despite averaging over 20 points a game for the last 5 years he has only been a all star twice. The former 1st overall pick has career line of 20.9 ppg, 7.3 reb and 4.2 ast.

Name PF Hakeem Olajuwon
Age 22
Size 7'0 255
Contract Rookie deal
Overall 85
Trade Value Untouchable
Info He fell in the draft to the 4th pick and the hawks made a move trading longtime and former all star PF Kristops Prozngis. His defense still needs to develop, but he should be able to help right away with points and rebounds. He was projected to be a center and played that position in college, but will be playing PF for the hawks. He should be a double double guy his rookie year

Name C Eric Sesvold
Age 27
Size 7'4 280
Contract 22 million for 2 years
Overall 79 ovr
Trade Value Untouchable
Info The 7'4 swiss born center is a huge fan favorite and will not be going anywhere anytime soon. Despite his modest overall he has a impressive resume and has came close to winning league MVP a few times. That's a task that will never happen as Washington Wizards SF Nick Johnson has won that award all 4 years he has been in the NBA. Eric has averaged more then 10 rebounds the last 6 years and the last 2 years has scored around 15 a game. He is a 1 time former all star and 2 time finals NBA including the game winning jump shot 2 year ago. He has won finals MVP 2 years in a row.

-----------------
2nd unit
Name PG Daniel Graham
Age 30
Size 6'2 185
Contract 6 million for 2 years
Overall 79
Trade Value 2*
Info The hawks needed some insurance at PG and brought in the vet Graham who is pretty much a clone of Trae Young just 2 years older. He can defend, shoot and make plays.

Name C Zdrunas ilgauskas
Age 23
Size 7'3 260
Contract Rookie deal
Overall 78
Info the former mid 1st round pick wasn't doing much for the trailblazers so the hawks made a move and think they can get more out of him then his former team had. The obvious comparison here is to starting Center Sesvold as both are over 7'3 and born in another country. Big Z isn't the same type of player that Sesvold is as he doesn't have the mid range jump shoot or ability to score down low. He does give the team a cheap similar player if a injury was to happen.

Name PF Kevin Barry
Age 26
Size 7'0 273
Contract last year of 2 million deal (rfa)
Overall 81 ovr
Info A rebounder and defender off the bench that doesn't have a offense game

Name SF Miles Bridges
Age 27
Size 6'7 230
Contract 2 years at 6 million
Overall 78
Trade Value 2 *
Info A solid scorer, rebounder and defender off the bench who does everything good and nothing great. He can also play some PF if the teams wants to go small. A former mid first round pick who has never really improved.

----------------
Bench

Name
PF Silvo De Sousa
Age 28
Size 6'8 242
Overall 77
Contract - last year of 2.26 million deal
Trade Value 2 *
Info He cant score but is a B+ defender and A+ rebounder

Name PF Derrick Favors
Age 32
Size 6'10 265
Contract - last year of 16 million $ deal
Overall 76
Info - When the hawks traded last years starting SG Terrance Ferguson for a draft pick Derrick had to be included for salary reasons. He will only play in garabge time unless a injury happens.

Name PG/SG Norm Johnson
Size 6'2 182
Age 28
Trade Value 2*
Overall 77
Info a shooter off the bench who can play either guard spot and lacks defense

Name SG Mac Bellamy
Age 24
Overall 73
Info He is strictly a shooter off the bench

Name SF Tauren Prince
Age 31
Overall 75
Info A vet wing off the bench who still has above average defense

Nick Johnson vs Michael Jordan - Game 7 Preview

If you said Nick Johnson of the Wizards (cpu team) has taken the league by storm that would the understatement of the century. Despite only being only 30 years old he has won 7 MVP's and 4 Defense player of the year awards. For the playoffs he is averaging 23.1 PPG, 7.1 Rebounds, 5.7 Assist, 3.0 steals, 1.8 Blocks, 50 3%, 55 FG%.

The hawks have 2 star players and one of them Lianglo Ball is still hurt and will miss the series. That means 3rd year SG Michael Jordan will have to continue to carry the scoring load on his back if the team wants to win game 7. Jordan is averaging 29.1 PPG, but doesn't have the other stats to go along with it like Johnson does.

The Atlanta Hawks and Washington Wizards will once again face off in the playoffs despite it being a 2nd round match up the world is counting down the time till tip-off. The Wizards got off to a 3-1 start then the hawks won 2 games in row. Now Its what playoff basketball is all about win or go home.
