Falcons week 3 recap- Coming up big in early road test

Falcons win 48-20 in early road test:
The falcons looked like a playoff ready team following a week 3 win. This didnt look like the shaky squad from week 1 that was bullied for half of the game. The offense took control and, while the defense let up plenty of yards, they were quite opportunistic. Matt Ryan looked like the vet that he is, posting a QB rating of 147.3 with 222 yards and 2 touchdowns (Roddy White, 1, and Devin Hester, 1) to his name. Tevin Coleman is the real offensive MVP for this squad as he had his breakout game, exploding for 200 rushing yards on 21 carries (9.5 YPC) and 2 scores. The Falcons Defense forced 4 total turnovers. The first came as Brooks Reed got a sack and forced a fumble on Tony Romo that would be returned by Justin Durant for a TD. Desmond Trufant would later come away with an interception, as well as Ricardo Allen and Kemal Ishmael, the latter of which took it back to the house. The Secondary kept Dez Bryant in check for the most part, but allowed Cole Beasley and Jason Witten to eat them alive. This will have to improve if Atlanta wants to stay in games as the season progresses. Devin Hester continually set up Atlanta in fantastic field position off of special teams. Ultimately, Atlanta looks like a completely different team with a different mentality under Quinn as they've fought their way to a 3-0 record. While it's too early to look at the divisional landscape, the saints, falcons and panthers are all undefeated and the NFC looks incredibly competitive. The falcons will square off against the loaded defense of the texans next week, and we'll see if the offense is truly legitimate.
