The versatile center converted guard, Luke Bowanko, has been traded to Kansas City. The 2nd year 6'6 300 pound OL had made an impact in his one year here in Jacksonville, but new owner Chris Bigtex had other plans. Jacksonville signed RG Jon Asamoah to fill the hole Bowanko left when he was traded. This organization will truly miss Luke, but we are excited for the future and what this new owner is bringing!!
For Bowanko, the Chiefs sent over WR Albert Wilson. Albert is a speedy wide out who can make quick cuts and make defenders miss in space! He will most likely play in the slot behind Robinson and Hurns, and don't be surprised to see him as a return man every now and then. He is a guy who can be used in many different spots in many different situations. This gives Blake Bortles another weapon as Bigtex looks to upgrade this offense. Jacksonville also received the Chiefs 5th round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. If they can find a 5th round gem with this pick, then this trade is all around a win win! Owner Chris Bigtex has given us just one more reason to love our team here!!
In Wilson's first practice with the team he looked great! He didn't seem to miss a beat and looked right at home! We can't wait to get him on the field!!
