The stove is still hot! Detroit and Seattle have come to a mutual agreement on the following proposition.

Detroit Receives:
Raul Ibanez 3.5* C - No Major League Time, 40 man, min contract


Seattle Receives:
David Wells - 3* SP on a 3 year 3.8mil/yr contract

Jayson Bass - 2.5* Prospect LF, minor league contract

Seattle looks to bolster their rotation with a big arm in Wells, while getting a speedy LF for the future. This helps solidify their chance at a deep playoff run.

Detroit gets a young but MLB ready C/RF for the future to build around while shedding their 2nd biggest remaining salary commitment.

No salary matching required.

I think it’s close enough. Wells with 3 years left is pretty valuable but since Ibanez is a 3.5 star it seems reasonable. I’ll vote to approve
