Details we overlook in Madden

I was watching the Browns vs Broncos game today and noticed something that I thought was pretty cool. The Broncos had their numbers on the back of their helmets. One number on each side of the stripe. I know we've had this for many years, but it just made me think of the small details that we all take for granted.

The game has to read the number from its roster database and then populate it, not only on the front, back and shoulders of the player, but on many of their helmets. It all has to sync and look real. This in addition to all of the details of the uniform as well as things like visors, face masks, shoes, etc.

It's easy to get caught up in what the game lacks in gameplay and the things we find frustrating. But its also nice to step back occasionally and really appreciate how far we've come in 25 years of playing video games. Just something I noticed and though I would share with everyone.
