The old saying without question goes "Defense wins Championships." Championships have been built around defense. The 85 bears. The Steel Curtain of the 70's. The Legion of Boom just a few seasons ago. To win in this league you have to play defense. This past week saw a defensive contest that left a lot of experts puzzled. If you enjoy watching defensive chess matches this was a game for you.
The Tennessee Titans were in town this week. Just 2 weeks after submitting a block buster deal the two teams faced off. Both teams coming off heart breaking loss the week before. Both without a doubt could not afford to drop to 0-2. The Browns defense made a few more plays than the Titans and escaped with a 12-7 victory.
An unlikely hero emerged after this game. Getting his first ever start after being drafted in the 7th round by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2015 draft, and later signed by the Cleveland Browns FS Gerod Holliman had himself a debut.

The Browns are very excited to have this young man aboard. The sky is the limit. No turning back now.
The man who set the tone early on in this one. Picking off Marcus Mariota on the First play of the game. The tiny titan himself Chris Kirksey has really turned it up. The beginning of last year he was known for being a foot tall on Madden. This year he is a house hold name. Look for him to continue making splashes week in and week out.

12 Year Veteran. Need I say more? Karlos Dansby is a man that many people felt like had nothing left to give to the sport. Proving doubters wrong has been Karlos's goal since he started playing football. The man may be 33 years old but he plays like he's 23. Kudos Karlos, Kudos.
Punters normally do not get recognition for their contributions week in and week out. Andy Lee very well played a huge part in this victory.

If we see this Andy Lee week in and week out he will definitely be on his way to the Pro Bowl.
Zach buddy don't think we forgot about you. The story line of the week was the fact that Mettenberger was going up against his former team. Though they gave him headaches at time during this game Zach looked relaxed and poised in the pocket.

The Browns proved this week they can still win. Owner Thomas Star was quoted saying "That was a very tough team we beat today. Majesty95 is doing big things down there in Tennessee. My hat is off to him."
The Browns will be home favorites this week against Oakland. When asked how he felt about being favorites Thomas Star responded "Haven't you heard? This is Cleveland. Nothing is given. Everything is EARNED."
