Denver Broncos
AFC West
3-1
Coach, thanks for taking time to talk to me today, everyone's waiting, so why don't we just get straight into this.

You went into the week 4 bye week with a record of 2-1 and 1-0 in the AFC West. Still this is a very tight division. Currently with the win vs Oakland you sit third, but the Chiefs and Chargers are still yet to play. With one of them losing, you'll move into 2nd. Describe the competition in this division. On paper, it looks like we have 4 playoff teams here.

No doubt about it the competition is stiff ... the Chiefs lost an efficient and effective game manager in Alex Smith yet they reload through the draft and still maintain their high level of efficiency, that in itself is hard to do especially in the passing game ... Their coach has them well prepared week after week ... The Chargers have an incredible passing attack with a superstar receiving core ... speed at the TE position will always create a nightmare for our team ... now that the Chargers have starting to utilize their RBs more, its creating a real chess match for their opponents including us ... our division as a whole has a lot of integrity and some well respected coaches ... this could be the most competitive conference in the entire league as we all take turns beating one another up.

There was alot of negative feedback from sports analysts on the trade you put through a couple weeks ago. You sent the man, possibly the greatest of all time, to your division rival, for a rookie 5th round center, and a 2nd round pick in the 2016 draft. Explain what happened there, and how this trade came to be.

The Manning trade had to happen no matter what the outcome ... no doubt he still has skills however we needed Brock to step in now to start stretching the field more and opening up not just our passing game, but allow us to get a bigger push in the running game as well ... Brock has allowed us that flexibility in our play calling early on this season and its giving us the results we had hoped for ... Back to the trade, we gained Bjoen Wynn who is a student of the game ... the guy is slotted to start for us next year since Ramirez is in a contract year and he is getting a bit older ... hard to find a young linemen with his set of skills and his work ethic (unless you get lucky like the Vikings and draft 3 of them) ... the 2nd round draft pick will allow us to fill a need at the end of the year ... we have some aging players and we need to get a bit younger with some high level talent ... this pick will also allow our scouts to go out and find a potential starter to come in to Denver and contribute right away ... last and certainly the most important aspect of this trade was the ability to free up over $19 million dollars over the next 2 yrs ... that is an incredible amount of money that can help build our team via multiple free agency moves in the offseason ... the former owner was desperate to win and paid the price tag on Manning, we just had to clean up the mess and right the ship.

Speaking of Manning, how was the homecoming for him? Being traded just a couple weeks prior to his new team coming into Denver, how did the media, and fans react when he stepped back onto the field? Your defense forced Manning to throw 5 INT this week. With 2 touchdowns and 5 INT, it qualifies as his worst game ever. He has thrown for 4 INT 3 times in his career, once in 2001, and he went back to back games with 4 in 2010. What did your team work on in their bye week to be so prepared defensively?

Manning was a class act in his return ... the guy is the epitome of a true gentleman ... we met the other night for dinner, had some laughs, and wished one another well ... their is no "ill will" between Peyton and the organization ... he understands the business and respects the game ... unfortunately for Peyton he just had a bad game ... some poor route running mixed with a new defensive scheme helped us out yesterday ... Peyton will get back to his winning ways, just needs some more time to adjust in Oakland with their speedy WRs.

Von Miller signed a 7 year contract last year worth 56M, and he showed us every bit of why he is worth the money that game. He got back to back sacks, and then a third in the same drive. At 26 years old, he's being donned as maybe one of the best LB's to ever step foot on the field. What do you think of this young man?

Von Miller definitely came up big for us yesterday ... after making the Pro Bowl last year, Von took it upon himself to up his game in critical situations (added the Clutch trait) and we finally got to see his hard work pay off yesterday in a big time rivalry game ... Christian Kirksey had an excellent camp until he came down with his injury ... he had two interceptions in two exhibition games for us and he will come back to his starting role ... Rookie Fabian Harmon will move back to his natural position and continue to start ... he has earned that right and he continues to develop at a superstar level ... Fabian was clocked with one of the fastest times for a LB coming out of the draft and he has been a monster in the backfield this year ... he is also our cover guy when matched up against the speed TEs in our division ... we need both of these guys on the field in key situations ... looking forward to seeing how this tandem plays out with Von in the coming weeks.

With trading Peyton, it sends a message to the league that Brock Osweiler is the QB of the future here in Denver. He threw 3 INT playing against the man that has mentored him since he has been in the league. However, his leadership, and good defensive play led the team to a victory. How has this kid been handling the pressure?
