A great movie once said "It doesn't matter if you win by an inch, or a mile. A win is a win." This quote is perfectly describing the Browns week 8 performance against the Arizona Cardinals.
The defense was dominant. Picking off Carson Palmer 4 times. The offense? Not so much. The Browns at 5-3 are in contention. They have the potential to make a serious run.
However the inconsistency their offense has shown this season has some experts doubting the possibility of that run becoming a reality.
The offense started the game off on a high note. Driving down the field on their first drive with ease. Zach Mettenberger's first throw of the game he connected with Rob Housler for a 26 yard touchdown. After this drive the Browns passing offense was nonexistent the rest of the day.
While the passing game struggled all day Ray Rice and the offensive line out together another solid day on the ground. Racking up 107 yards on 25 carries Ray Rice had his second straight 100 yard performance. He's really settling into this offense and is as confident as ever.
*Barkevious Mingo flattens Carson Palmer. Mingo had his best game of the season. 7 tackles, 1 sack, 1 int.*
Karlos Dansby yet again as himself a game. 11 tackles and 1 int. He lead the way for this defense today that just completely obliterated the Cardinals. Dansby is looking as good as ever. This may be the best he's ever been in 12 year career.
Joe Haden who had the honor of shadowing Larry Fitzgerald most of the afternoon picked off his 4th pass of the season. Only this time, nobody was stopping him! 75 yards untouched to the house. Joe Haden is back. Pro Bowler? You betcha!

Next week the Browns travel to Cincinnati. The BATTLE OF OHIO. The most underrated rivalry in the NFL. This game has accounted for so many exciting moments and memories over the years. Not to mention to of the highest scoring games in NFL HISTORY! Who can ever forget back in 2004 when the Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Cleveland Browns 58-48? Fast forward 3 years later when the Browns defeated the Bengals 51-45.
What will happen this season? What moments and memories do these teams have in store? One thing is for sure. Neither team wants to lose this game. It's far to personal to admit.
Cincinnati leads the all time series 44-39.
