The week of the season that every fan dreads is upon us. The villainous bye week. Though fans hate the bye week the players and staff love the week of rest and preparation for the rest of the season. We are here this week to give to an in depth look at the Season thus far and what's to be.
Record: 6-4
The Cleveland Browns are past the midpoint of the season and have a winning record and are in control of their own destiny? Pinch us because we must be dreaming. Seriously. When did this team start winning?
Week 1 24-17 Loss to the Jets
Week 2 12-7 Win over the Titans
Week 3 38-22 Win over the Raiders
Week 4 35-10 Loss to the Chargers.
Week 5 26-13 Win over the Ravens
Week 6 24-20 Loss to the Broncos
Week 7 31-10 Win over the Rams
Week 8 20-10 Win over the Cardinals
Week 9 31-21 Win over the Bengals
Week 10 30-29 Loss to the Steelers
The Browns currently hold the final Wild Card spot in the playoff race. Like we stated earlier they are in control of their own destiny but cannot afford to slip up. One mistake, one loss could mean no playoffs.
With 4 of their last 6 games being held at home including the next 3 straight the Browns really could make a run. Could the playoff drought be over? Could the Browns hoist the lombardi trophy? Only they know the answer to that question.
Offensive Focus:

The Browns dropped a bomb on the NFL Landscape when they traded for Zach Mettenberger. An even bigger surprise is when they named him their week 1 starter a job he has held since. It appears the Front office whole heartily believes in this man. He's been labeled the Franchise QB Cleveland has been looking for. Rumor has it that Manziel will be on the trade block come this off-season.
Zach Mettenberger Stats: 122-207 1897 YDS 15 TD 11 INT

No signing in the NFL surprised people more than when the Browns signed Ray Rice. Nobody wanted to give him a second chance. Ray Rice is showing everyone why they should have given him a look. Proving he's even better than before Ray Rice has made a serious case this season for comeback player of the year.
Ray Rice Stats: 190 ATT 893 YDS 6 TD

Another man who has made his own case for comeback player of the year is Josh "Flash" Gordon. Flash just like Rice has proven that he's even better than he was before. That he's a changed man. He's grateful for the Browns believing in him and never giving up on him. He inked a 4 year 30 million dollar contract extension just a few weeks ago. His heart is in Cleveland.
Josh Gordon Stats: 45 REC 795 YDS 8 TD
Defensive Focus:

Joe Haden has made a claim for Best Corner in the league this season. He's back to being the shutdown corner he was in college. Already an all pro his game has developed into something special.
Joe Haden Stats: 16 TACKLES 1 SACK 6 INT

Karlos Dansby has been the spark this season that the Defense needed. Having a pro bowl season and playing his best ball in his 12 year career Dans could very likely been headed to the pro bowl. A player who has never won a championship is hungry. Look for him to continue to step up in big play situations and do everything in his power to bring a championship to the LAND.
Karlos Dansby stats: 26 TACKLES 4 INT

A man who was signed to the Browns off the Steelers practice squad just a few days before the season started and thrown to the wolves has come back leading the pack. Gerod Holliman has put together quite the rookie campaign. The Browns were worried they would not be able to fill Tashaun Gipson's shoes. It looks as if they have filled his shoes and even bought a new pair. This man is the future of this team for years to come.
Gerod Holliman Stats: 36 tackles 2 sacks

When the Browns season resumes in Week 12 they welcome the RAVENS into town. The Browns cannot afford to slip up. Look for them to be more focused than ever. The time is coming fan. Is it our time? Can the drought end? All we here can say is BELIEVE.
