Cleveland Browns Season 2 Week 6 Recap

Starter
Week 1 of the 2016 Season was not a very bright one for the Cleveland Browns. The traveled to division and in State Rival the Cincinnati Bengals. Despite getting out to an early lead the Browns allowed the game to slip away from them. The Browns weren't just looking to bounce back they were out for blood. Blood is EXACTLY what they got.

From the opening of the kickoff this one was a slug fest. Back and forth all day. The Browns fell behind by 10 entering the second half. They did not allow that to effect the outcome. The fought hard all day and would not let another one slip away. They scored the go ahead touchdown with under two minutes left but were not out of the water yet.

Andy Dalton would began another late drive in attempt to win the game. Getting inside the Browns 20 with 30 seconds left the Bengals had 4 chances to score. After back to back dropped touchdowns on 2nd and 3rd down, Bengals fans watched in disbelief as the game winning touchdown sailed out the back of the endzone as time expired. Browns survive.

Zach Mettenberger had his best performance of the season. Despite a forced throw that would be intercepted he had a complete game. 14-19 for 214 yards and 4 touchdowns. It took him a few games but it looks as if he has finally settled in and is comfortable with the new playbook. Settling in at the best time possible. Browns are 4-2 and are back in the hunt for the division race.

Josh Gordon coming off a one reception game hauled in 3 catches for 65 yards this week. None more important than the above picture. A 38 yard touchdown reception over safety Illoka. Josh has really struggled this year. Secondary's have game planned for him every week. The Browns need to develop a better way to get him open.

With defense's eyeing in on Flash that leaves room for rest of the receiving corps to step up. Reggie Jackson has done exactly that. The 22nd overall pick in the Draft for the Cleveland Browns had the best performance of his career thus far. 5 receptions for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns. Superstar potential? Without a doubt. The future? Most certainly. The only thing is, the future appears to be now...

Tramon Williams stepped up big again. Another week, same performance. Andy Dalton made the mistake of testing him in this one. Tramon made him pay by out jumoing Sanu for the interception. With his 3rd int of the season he's just one behind of last season's total. Tramon has stepped up this season. Especially in clutch situations.

The Browns after a much needed division win will be on the road next week as they travel to Baltimore to take on the Ravens. The Ravens have struggled over their last 23 games. That includes being swept in their season series with the Browns last year. "I don't care if they're 0-23, or 23-0 over the last two years. We are taking them serious. VERY SERIOUS. They're the Ravens." -Coach Mike Pettine on the Week 7 match up-
