Good morning #BrownsNation!!! Your Browns pulled out a win vs the Cowboys at home in week 11. It took some extra time but they did it! The Browns move to 5-5 on the year. The division is still up for grabs too! The Ravens are at 6-4, and face a tough Titans team this week. Titans will be starting Mettenberger over Mariotta in that game, and as Browns fans we all hope Mett has a career game and passes all over the Ravens! The division leader is the Pittsburgh Steelers. They currently sit at 7-3. We still have to play them twice. Big focus is obviously get a winning streak. The Browns have no won two consecutive games this year. They have a chance to do that this week as Andrew Luck and the Colts come into the Dawg Pound. Next focus is beating the Steelers. We still play them twice, and if we beat them both games, that would give us a division tie and own a tiebreaker! Both Steelers games are MUST WIN'S. Let's go over last week's game.

The Browns took a very early lead, as they scored the first points. It was a bit of a disappointment as they went 75 yards down the field, but settled for a 26 yard FG. That's shorter than an extra point! They did take the points though, and the Cowboys responded. They would be tied 3-3 early in the 2nd quarter. In the 2nd half is where the Browns took off offensively. They scored two touchdowns. One was a 53 yard screen pass to backup HB Isaiah Crowell. Crowell serves as a great backup to Anderson. We resigned him to a 4 year $4M deal this year to solely be a backup, and we love that move! Crowell could be a starter in any offensive scheme, but serves as a grade A backup here in Cleveland! The 2nd touchdown of the quarter would be a quick HB dive from 3 yards out to Anderson as he punches it in and the Cowboys take a 17-3 lead going into halftime. Anderson had 123 yards and 1 TD last week. It goes to show that he has to be on if the Browns are going to win. This is his 3rd 100 yard rushing game and the Browns have won all 3. He is going to look to keep up that momentum going into the Indy game.

The 2nd half the Browns would struggle offensively as they put no points on the board in the third or fourth quarter. They did show some life defensively. Newly added FS Ha Ha Clinton-Dix was always around the ball as he tallied 9 tackles, 1 TFL, and 1 PDefl. Kruger showed up today also, Kruger had 7 Tackles, 1 TFL, and 1 Sack. The TFL on Michael and the Sack on Romo both came on the same drive in the fourth quarter which really helped the Browns stay in the game. They would however let the Cowboys find the endzone twice in the 2nd half. Once in the third quarter, and the 2nd touchdown came with about :20 left in the fourth as Romo found Whitehead on a simple drag route, where the CB did not come up to play the ball. That situation was addressed with the player at the end of the game. That touchdown tied it up, and you could see Mike Pettine tell the DB that blew the coverage, "You better hope we win". Owner Chris Bigtex is a no nonsense guy. He has cut players in the past for blowing games. His philosophy is, "We are here to win games. If you cost us that chance, why are you here?" The game would go into OT after the whitehead touchdown.

The overtime quarter almost made a whole town riot. The Cowboys would win the toss and elect to receive. The Browns defense stood up, and forced a 3 and out and a punt from the Cowboys. Gilbert had been handling the punt return duties as Bigtex had been trying to shake things up. Gilbert will no longer handle the punt returns. Gilbert catches the ball and fumbles on a hit by LB Anthony Hitchens. Cowboys would recover and be set up to score. It looked bleak for Cleveland. On third down, Whitehead was crossing across the middle, and Dansby was staring down Romo through his zone pattern. Romo strikes it to whitehead and DANSBY JUMPS THE PASS, INTERCEPTS THE BALL, AND RETURNS IT 11 YARDS. The whole stadium went CRAZY. The veteran LB really did due diligence for his team! Now it was up to Cleveland's offense. Anderson and the all pro O Line put the team on their back as they make some solid gaps for Anderson to run through going down the field. On third and 8t hey continue to feed the workhorse and try to center the ball in the middle of the field. Anderson finds a wide open hole and hits it for a 9 yard gain adna first down! On that first down, Pettine sends out Hartley and he nails the 31 yard FG to earn the victory in overtime!! This game was a thriller! If you missed anything here are the highlights!
