2016 Preview
The Bears are looking forward to the season start as they will have plenty of new faces across the board. Making the loudest noise in free agency, the Bears signed QB Nick Foles to replace a regressing Jay Cutler. Forte has returned as he was tagged for the 2016 season. Lamar Miller was signed to back up Forte and be the bridge for a new runner in the near future. Trading Brandon Marshal to New England was a shock to everyone. But with Marshall aging and the emergence of rookie receiver Dennard, his move for a first round pick seemed like perfect timing.
On defense the Bears will still be relying on effort instead of talent. With no real playmakers on defense, the Bears will struggle to stop teams. MLB K.J. Wright will lead this defense and charged with getting the young talent in place. These young ins include DT Jarrick Albert, CB Kyle Fuller and CB Javente Patton. They will need to mature quickly if the bears want to return to the playoffs this season.
