Cardinals will be shipping Ortiz to the Pirates in exchange for RF Jeff Francouer, this works out well as Ortiz will do well for Pirates and Jeff can slot in to the Cardinals lineup as we need a RF

I need a starting third base men and Ortiz will be that for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2008. He provides a power bat and he is developed ready to go. With the addition of Cordova, the Pirates out field is more clustered with starters such as De Aza, Corey Hart and Nick Swisher, Francouer is wasted. This is an important deal for the pirates who dont have a third base man at the moment.
