Bears have been working with the Raiders management for weeks to get an agreement. We're not sure if Cook is the answer but Cutler clearly is not. We are hoping at minimum, Cook can be a game manager while the running game and defense help us have a successful season.

Kind of late, but why not?

Reasoning for Oakland: The vast majority of our young player's contracts are up in 3 years. We know we will not be able to afford all of them, especially after they win two superbowls back to back p) so with Derek Carr at the helm we are comfortable trading Conner Cook for picks to help ensure our future team will share the same success. Plus we have the preseason MVP, Matt McGloin in case Carr goes down. We hope to draft a future QB in the ensuing years to backup Carr if McGloin gets stale or if Carr starts to suffer major injuries.
