Why each team does it:
Baltimore: Baltimore sheds $6m in Salary, and gets several prospects who could develop well in the Baltimore system

New York: Adds some needed depth to their bullpen, gets a "young vet" and a hard working pitcher for a playoff run

Yankees confirm. By adding "Bad Ass" BenBeen McDon, we get ahead of figuring out what to do in Free Agency and figure out where to spend, as well as look at the system and draft accordingly. Losing McDonald was hard but CF is blocked by the Big Bern so that makes this deal an easy one to make.

I'm not really sure on this one either. Been hasnt done much the past two seasons and is carrying around a pretty decent salary for the next five. Its not that the Yankees are giving up a ton of talent, I just dont understand whay they're giving up four players for a guy that looks like is just a salary dump.
