At Fedex Fied Redskins Thankful for Giants

Early in the second quarter last night at a raucous Fedex Field, after delivering a strike to Odell Beckham on third down and long from a post pattern over the middle to get the Giants in striking distance of the redzone, Eli Manning tried to catch the Redskins secondary sleeping on a seam route in the endzone. Pressing to cut into the deficit of 14-3 and get the G-Men within four points, cornerback Fabian Moreau had other ideas.

The rookie defensive back out of UCLA positioned himself on the goalline baiting the veteran signal caller into a bad decison by playing the situation perfectly, using his 38 inch vertical, (5th best at last years combine) Fabian high pointed the throw, picked it, and weaved through a few would be defenders and gave the hometown crowd something to be thankfull for on this holiday weekend... Setting a Washington Redskins record with a 100 yard interception returned for a score. In the locker room after the game I caught up with Moreau, he said "that pick 6 was the highlight of his football career." he was seen giving his mom the game ball in the tunnell after the team meeting.

Complimenting the Washington defense led by Kirk Cousins, the Redskins offense found success both on the ground and through the air. With 199 yards passing and a QBR of 155.9 Cousins distribution was what the doctor ordered after last weeks debacle against the first place Vikings. Not to be outdone, Robert Kelley and the ground game put up 160 yards and 3 scores to provide the balance. Heading into December, this win keeps the Redskins playoff hopes alive, with little room for error.
