With the recent success of Rookies Milton Bradley and Troy Glaus, the Oakland As have decided to move on from 2 of their veteran players in favor of a youth movement. Stan Javier is a Golden Glove winning CF that plays amazing defense and provides some quality batting while Spezio is a decent young 3B that has potential to come in and make an impact in a starting lineup. Both of these players will be able to make an impact from day 1. This move will also help the Athletics get a more manageable budget for future contracts.
