The Mets have agreed to trade 28 year old SP Hyun-Jin Ryu to the Chicago White Sox for 26 year old C Derrick Norris, 28 year old Alex Cobb, and 24 year old Closer propect Noel De La Cruz. The Mets are looking to fill a black hole at catcher and add Cobb to fill Ryu's spot in the rotation, De La Cruz bolsters the prospective bullpen arms in the the Mets system. The Sox have been shopping both Cobb and and Norris as both players are unhappy in Chicago. It might be a bit much, but it's not an unreasonable price for a quality and controllable SP. Approved.
