Smoked turkey

IMO... There is no better way to prepare a turkey than slow and low on the smoker.



Smoker is loaded and the Thanksgiving turkeys are ready to smoke!!

Well, my mom used to roast a turkey in the oven when she was here. Now its usually as my girlfriend's family which is a little more non-traditional. They are cooking a turducken which I'm not crazy about so we had to buy a turkey just for us cooked at HEB I do liked smoked turkey but am a real big fan of deep fried turkey too. Haven't had one in awhile but injecting it and frying it is delish.

Outside of turkey, my faves are mashed potatoes and brown turkey gravy and pumpkin pie and cool whip.

I'm not big on Turkey, I'm a ham person. Generally I always make mini Turkey ham mashed potatoe sandwiches with the dinner rolls that are popular for thanksgiving/ Christmas dinners. Delicious

Good stuff Blackhawk375 I am a Rec Tec pellet user myself and know what you are talking about Family always comes over to our crib and we do a turkey ham spread with all the fixins. A day of good food and football!
