Week 6 vs Saints

In a strange move the Carolina Panthers have been sold mid season. Owners of NFL franchises rarely change hands, and for it to happen mid season is just unheard of. But the Panthers new owner has come in. And he and this team has some work to do. The team is currently 1-4 on the season.

This week they travel to New Orleans to take on another struggling team, the 1-3 Saints. This team looks to have the talent to win more games than their record shows. They do have some key players injured in starting RB Jonathan Stewart and star LB Luke Kuechly. The new owner believes in the next man up mentality and doesn't want to hear any excuses from the players or coaching staff. He bought this team and plans on making it a dynasty for years to come.

That starts with getting back in the win column. The Panthers know the key to victory against the Saints is stopping Drew Brees. Brees is 3rd in the NFC right now with 9 TDs. The speedy 2nd year man from Oregon State, Brandin Cooks has hauled in 4 of those TDs. Carolina knows they can't let Cooks get behind the D and make big plays. Surprisingly, the Saints D is rated in the top half of the league so far in total yards allowed.

The new owner has made it very clear to everyone in the organization that he doesn't plan on losing. And if anyone plays like a loser he will not hesitate to make changes. The whole organization is on an audition, and that starts this week against the Saints.
