Monday night football recap- atlanta holds on to road W

Falcons avoid Lions' comeback, reach 2-0
It was another very close game this week, as the Atlanta falcons held a 21-3 right before the half before Detroit mounted their comeback. A kickoff return TD occurred right as the 1st half winded down, narrowing the gap to 21-10. The lions would then score a FG before ryan threw his 4th TD of the day to avery reed to make it 28-13. The rookie WR is already blossoming in his slot role. The lions then scored a TD to cut the lead to 8 before scoring once more, but the 2 point conversion was a failure, resulting in a 26-28 score. While Matt Ryan had a very MVP-caliber day, his sole mistake came at a very inopportune time, as it gave Detroit the ball back with 3 minutes to go. However, driving into the redzone, the defense forced a fumble that turned the tide of the game into the Falcon's favor for the final time, leading them to a 2nd victory in as many attempts. On the whole, the defense looked very solid against the lions before their comeback mounted. Still, despite the touchdowns that made this a very close contest, the defense looks much improved from a year ago and if they continue to gel, they could be a top-10 unit. If you wanna reach the playoffs, you have to win the close ones and the falcons are doing just that so far this season, proving they have the toughness to dog out road victories.
