3-2. To start the year the Rams league wide did not have the same hype as some other top tier teams. So maybe 3-2 would look better set in that light. But on closer examination, the city of L.A. is expecting a lot more. The Rams started the season off to a hot start, 3-0 going into a non conference game with the Jaguars, when they hit reality. A 30-3 blowout loss against another undefeated did not make fans feel any better about an already sputtering offense. But after that fall back to earth, fans were excited for a division matchup with the revamped 49ers.

Unfortunately for the Rams they saw a late last second drive come up short on a miscommunication between Aaron Dobson and 2nd year QB Jared Goff. A heart breaking 20-14 loss really puts into perspective what fans have feared the last two seasons: Can Jeff Fisher put out an offensive scheme that produces points consistently? We've seen a season so far where defenses are stacking the box on Todd Gurley and the rest of the running back department who have been effective in small doses. But seeing 8-9 in the box has forced the Rams to putting the game into their 1st overall selection's hands. And he has not been impressive to say the least. Despite one outlier game against a good Carolina Panthers defense, Jared Goff has struggled to get the ball to anybody not named Lance Kendricks or Tavon Austin.

Can the Rams rebound after the bye against the Seattle Seahawks? Tune in next week to see a thrilling defense matchup between these in division rivals
