Prospect
Offense
- Under newly acquired quarterback Nick Foles, this offense has the makings of a balanced attack.
- The tandem of Tre Mason and Todd Gurley at runningback is expected to be potent, even behind a less than stellar offensive line led by 2nd year LT Greg Robinson.
- The passing attack features several big targets including receivers Kenny Britt and Brian Quick as well as tight ends Jared Cook and Lance Kendricks.
- Speedy receivers Tavon Austin, Stedman Bailey, and Chris Givens hope to make big plays downfield.
Defense
- The strength of this team is their defensive line featuring Robert Quinn and Aaron Donald, who strike fear in the hearts of QBs around the league. Former Lions DT Nick Fairley joins the group this year along with veterans Chris Long, William Hayes, and Michael Brockers.
- Linebackers James Laurinitis, Akeem Ayers, and Alec Ogletree shouldn't have trouble flying around behind that line.
- Janoris Jenkins and EJ Gaines are lock-down starting corners whose job is made easier by the guys up front.
- While T.J. McDonald has one safety spot locked down, the other spot will have a 3-way competion to start between Rodney McLeod, Mark Baron, and former corner Lamarcus Joyner.
Special Teams
- Tavon Austin will show off his electrifying moves returning kicks again this season.
- Johnny Hekker hopefully won't see the field as much this season, but he is one of the best punters in the league.
- Greg "Legatron" Zeurlein has been working on his accuracy this off-season with the hopes of earning his nickname.
Other notes:
- Expect to see a lot of rookie QB Sean Mannion this preseason, as he has been impressive in camp.
