Week One

• Panthers hard hitting defense knocked former Panther Christian McCaffrey out for the game and Lagarrette Bount out for 5 weeks.
• Carolina's defense allowed 9 yards rushing on 16 carries including McCaffrey -5 yards on six carries.
• Christine Michael led the Panthers with 62 yards on nine carries while Jonathan Stewart added 61 yards on a team leading 16 carries.
• Cam Newton fumbled twice in the game, losing both, and also threw an interception.
• Rookie Rashaad Penny had four carries for 21 yards while fellow rookie Vita Vea had three tackles and combined on a sack. First round pick Calvin Ridley did not have a catch in the game.

Week Two

• Carolina out gained Seattle 320 to 258 on the day.
• The Panthers turned the ball over 4 times (3 INTs and a fumble by Cam Newton) vs the Seahawks 3.
• Seattle's only touchdown was via an interception return. Carolina held Seattle's offense to 5 field goals.
• Rookie Quin Blanding led the team with nine tackles and also added a tackle for loss and a sack.
• Newcomer Josh Jones was second on the team with eight tackles.
