After slapping the franchise tag on David Johnson, the cardinals headed into free agency. Larry Fitzgerald, is now retired but ownership proved loyalty keeping him past his prime, he also held up having a great season.

The first big move was in free agency, acquiring Stefon Diggs years and numbers are not available. He will be paired, alongside Michael Floyd, and john brown. They also acquired a older veteran right tackle Phil Loadholt, to help on the line, they also came to free agency and signed a decent full back.

John Simon chose to sign with the cardinals also they were high on him can play end, or linebacker. He's a plug and play guy. They are bringing some guys to battle for some roster spots.

The move that made headlines, was getting Wilton Speight, he played for the big ten a college the cardinals have been known to scout. He's a unknown quaterback coming from the Browns in a trade, sending a 3rd round pick and Mason Rudolph for Wilton Speight, and a 5th round pick. Mason hasn't been the guy in the gym, or in the locker room they figured they had drafting him at 39 2 years ago.

They are in a win now mode and with Christian Hackenberg set be a free agent he's going to battle for qb, along side Jake Coker.

The draft is going to be held tomorrow, hopefully they can fill a few needs. We are see minor tweaks, this might give fans more optimism heading into next year.
