I picked this up on release day based primarily on the fact that it was coming from the studio that brought us the borderlands series. For those unfamiliar, borderlands and its sequel are some of the finest co-op shooters released. Battleborn follows this tradition, while adding competitive multiplayer. It also keeps the loot based gear system that borderlands used, reminiscent of games like World of Warcraft or Diablo.
I've enjoyed what I've played so far, and recommend it to anyone who wants to play a shooter that isn't COD or a clone of it.
