Week 17 @ Tampa Bay

A abismal start to week 17 saw the legendary Drew Brees struggle enough in the first quarter for JimmyTerpLord to call it a day. Brees struggled to get the ball to his receivers and on account of his disastrous 29th interception of the year on a drive where the running game brought the Saints to the red zone the first year owner had this to say about his starting quarterback;

“He (Brees) is a legend. I grew up watching him go after the opposing defense and completely destroy them. This wasn’t the same Drew and that is disheartening. I made a promise to bring a championship to NOLA and if that means shopping for a new quarterback, so be it.”

Throughout the matchup versus the Buccaneers (4-12) the offense struggled to be effective through the air once the rookie from BYU Taysom Hill was inserted to replace Brees. Although, throwing 2 of his first touchdowns in his first career game Hill only recorded 9/22 169 yards and 2 touchdowns but it was enough to secure a win. Major contribution came from Adrian Peterson and the run game posting 20 carries for 102 yards and 2 touchdowns.

As for the defense, LB Manti Teo registered a sack and 2 interceptions while the Buccaneers offensive line gave the NOLA defensive line free admission to the ‘Sack Winston’ show, sacking Jameis an astounding 9 times without really calling any blitzes.

Who Dat Nation finish the 2017 regular season with a 8-8 record missing the playoffs. With many questions around key positions in the upcoming offseason JimmyTerpLord has a project on his hands and the wrong moves could see the organization in turmoil.

“We are going to do as much as we possibly can to bring guys here that will make a difference and get us to our goal. We are eyeing talent in free agency and the draft to come in and play so we can give Mardi Gras that extra kicker to celebrate for.”

On to 2018 for The Who Dat Nation
