The Bruins traveled to Berkeley this week in a much anticipated rivalry game with the hated Cal Bears. Coach Rausa is new to the rivalry but stressed the importance of the game to anyone who would listen.

The Bruins D came in as one of the top defenses in the PAC12, and it showed. The Bruins were able to frustrate Cal QB Zac Kline whenever he touched the ball. Kline had pressure in his face all day long resulting in 5 sacks and 3 INTs. The defense was lead by Deon Hollis who single handedly accounted for 3 sacks, and 1 INT which went 99 yards for the score.

The offense was conservative, which it could afford to do with the defense playing lights out. Craig Lee & Paul Perkins combined for 92 yards and 3 TDs on the ground. TJ Milweard was relatively quiet, throwing for 158 yards and 1 INT.

The Bruins will prepare for a big non-conference match-up with Mississippi State.
