Tulane's first game gives Big 12 a boost over big 10​







You don't expect to pay a small school $600,000 to come in and be a practice dummy and come away with a loss. Tulane seemed to be out matched but errors from Wisconsin was the difference. Wisconsin QB started 2-12 22 yards. by the time he got warmed up Tulane had the momentum and it was to late. Tulanes first year starter QB is very accurate. He completed 16-22 NO INT. Tulane brought in 2nd O and D in the 4th. at that point it was 24-7.

Tulane has a rematch against Georgia State coming up next week. Georgia State won the game on a FG with 0 sec left on the clock last season.

Mississippi State 38 Michigan 28​

Mississippi State Bulldogs held on just long enough to come out on top.

The Michigan Wolverines did everything they could to rally from behind in the fourth quarter after not scoring in the third which saw them fall behind by 17 to start the fourth. Michigan opened the fourth by putting the ball in the endzone but on the ensuing kickoff true freshman Eric Stephens returned it 100 yards for 6. Michigan would respond by again finding the endzone and on the next drove it was Eric Stephens again scoring a TD.

True freshman Eric Stephens carried the ball 16 times from 106 yards, caught 4 passes for 26 yards, returned 4 punts for 35 yards and returned 2 kickoffs for 125 yards, also scoring 2 TDs.
