Panthers Defense Shines
The Carolina Panthers defense played strong today as they held the Jaguars to 205 yards and only 78 yards rushing. The front seven for the Panthers were unable to record a sack today, however they were able to keep heavy pressure on Blake Bortles allowing him to only have 127 yards passing with no touchdowns. The Panthers offense was unable to take advantage of the field position due to turnovers from both Cam Newton and Johnathan Stewart. The game stayed close until the Panthers were able to score a touchdown to newly signed Zach Miller in the left corner of the end zone that forced overtime. In overtime the Panthers were able to take the opening drive and scored the game winning touchdown with the final score of 30 to 24 Panthers.
