The Seattle Seahawks report to camp on July 30th with their first practice falling on July 31st - The team is extremely anxious to right the wrongs from last year's Super Bowl 48 epic blunder in which Russell Wilson was intercepted just 2 yards away from victory - One play will not define this team so we, as an organization, move on from the past, we look towards a bright and prosperous 2015 / 2016 season - Read below to get the full run down on your Seattle Seahawks PX1 Connected Franchise Team along with their off season transactions and 2015 draft picks and who might make a difference this season!

To kick things off, let us rewind back to March - News broke that the Seahawks had just traded their 1st round pick along with veteran Center Max Unger ... wait ... what?? for who?? ... Just one of the top play makers at his position and that is TE Jimmy Graham - Seattle made a huge off-season splash by trading for the All Pro tight end difference maker that Seattle desperately needed ... The Seahawks traded the #31 overall pick which is considered a genius move considering the talent level at #31 is very low compared to someone of Jimmy's caliber - Just check out the stats below and what was said around the league:

The talking heads of the NFL rated the Seahawks draft all over the place - This would be somewhat expected since they traded their 1st round pick for Jimmy Graham - With their remaining eight selections, the Seahawks would continue to fill their needs and look to stock up with some much needed depth

DE Frank Clark, Michigan - 2nd round #63 overall
pick63-ig.jpg

The selection of Frank Clark has drawn much criticism as this ex-Wolverine ran into legal trouble that ultimately finished his career at Michigan in November - A downfield blitzer with power to control the edge and finish as a tackler - Great burst out of his stance which allows him to convert his speed to power - Will need to develop better footwork this year in hopes of gaining meaningful playing time and keep himself out of trouble in order to remain with the team as this is considered a "second chance" for Mr. Frank Clark

WR/RS Tyler Lockett, Kansas State - 3rd round #69 overall
pick69-ig.jpg

Seattle moved up to get Lockett who should make an immediate impact on special teams as he is considered one of the best punt return men in the country - Has the ability to gain seperation and space which could equate to some highlight reel plays - Lockett's size tends to be the only criticism at this point - Expect Lockett to inject himself into the WR rotation this year as he looks to prove the naysayers wrong and show that he belongs with top notch talent - Practicing every day versus the Legion of Boom should help Tyler elevate his game

OT Terry Poole, San Diego State - 4th round #130 overall
pick130-ig.jpg

Look for Poole to move inside to the guard spot as Okung is a staple at LT and should compete immediately for playing time - Poole has a fighter mentality that should gel well with the Seahawk offense

OG Mark Glowinski, West Virginia - 4th round #134 overall
pick134-ig.jpg

A natural at the guard position and like Poole, will compete immediately for playing time - A well known gym rat whose game is predicated on power will transition nicely to the Seahawk rushing attack

WR / KR Tye Smith, Towson - 5th round #170 overall
pick170-ig.jpg

Some feel Smith could be the sleeper pick in the draft for Seattle - Has excellent closing speed and plays extremely well in zone coverage - Brings an attitude to the game and hits with force - Will need to add some size to be an every down player in the Legion of Boom

DE Leo Obumgwacham, Oregon St (6th round #209 overall) - Has played DE position for only one year at the college level after converting from WR - Has rare athletic talent but is very raw and will need a few years to develop into an NFL contributor - Great attitude an approach that could allow him to see the field sooner then later

OG Kristjan Sokoli, Buffalo (6th round #214 overall) - Played defensive line in college however the Seahawks plan to convert him to an interior lineman, possibly center (Sokoli actually played LT in high school) - If you remember, the Seahawks converted J.R. Sweezy to the o-line when he was drafted out of NC State as a DT

SS Ryan Murphy, Oregon St (7th round #248 overall) - A close cousin to Marshawn Lynch who mentored him throughout high school and college, Murphy has the size to play in the NFL - Flashed his playmaking ability while at Oregon St and is a versatile defensive back - Could back up both safety spots and play nickel if asked too and should benefit from the All Pro's who will play in front of him

You have now been introduced to the most recent additions to the Seattle Seahawks organization - The team is very excited with our recent draftees and the moves we made this off-season to ensure we can continue on with the success we have displayed over the years - Stay tuned in the coming days and weeks as we will evaluate each position as we head into training camp and update Madden player attributes - Read below to get a sneak peek at some of the storylines we plan to cover ...

- As we roll into training camp, Russell Wilson has made it known that he will not negotiate after camp starts so the pressure is on to get him locked up to a long term deal - The field general has a new girlfriend in singer Ciara and with another year under his belt with a young tandem of talented wide receivers, will Russell be able to flourish or will the off field distractions (gf & negotiations) get in the way?

- Can All Pro TE Jimmy Graham stay healthy and continue on with the success he had while under Drew Brees watch? We should found out this year whether Brees made Graham the superstar he is or whether Graham can turn Russell Wilson into a dynamic passer which could equate to big dollar signs for Wilson if the negotiations are pushed to the end of the season

- Can the Legion of Boom continue to dismantle pass-happy offenses with three new CBs in the fold? Depth has never been an issue but it will be tested this season with new faces and the ACL injury to Lane

- What rookie will step in and make the biggest impact this season?
- Will Beast Mode continue to make video game moves versus the NFL?
- Contracts: Okung is in a contract year and plans to negotiate his own deal / Michael Bennett is considered one of the top DEs in the game yet he is extremely underpaid and is threatening to holdout

All of this and more will be answered and covered in the coming days and weeks!
