Rod Woodson was drafted by the Steelers in 1987 and went on to have a hall of fame career. "Rod is God" read the banner in Three Rivers Stadium....can Mr Woodson bring the 7th ring to Pittsburgh
HC: Mike Tomlin- Youngest coach to win a Super Bowl, now a veteran players coach who brings fire and intensity on Sundays.
Offense: Tomlin pb. A balanced offense with many weapons. This offense will take what you give them. Can air it out and have the people upfront to pound the ball. They will pick on your weakness.
Defense: 3-4 tomlin. The defense has many holes as they have gone younger on this side of the ball. How far they go will depend on how this defense progresses.

Week 1
Opening game of the season for the steelers was a success as they traveled to Washington and came out with a victory. Steelers trailed for most of the game as their passing game sputtered, a few big plays here and there but they couldn't sustain any drives. The running game couldn't get going either, Leveon Bell topped the 100 yds but he had a 70 yd run to pad his stats late in the game. Kickin game was a joke. The weakness of the team stepped up as they only alllwed one big play. Defense had two interceptions in the red zone, FS Mike Mitchell had one at the 1 yd line late in the game as Washington was driVing to take the lead. Steelers win 15 - 10

Steelers fans sold out Heinz Field for this anticipated match up with their division rival cincinnati bengals. The opposite of week 1 happened here as the steelers lead through out the game only to lose the lead and the game in the final seconds. Big Ben was erratic through out the day and things didn't help when Martavis Bryant went down with an injury that will sideline him for 6 weeks. Bell topped the 100yds again but wasn't enough as the steelers couldn't run the ball late in the game to control.the clock. The bend but don't break defense , broke at the end as they allowed the Bengals to score 10 4th qtr unanswered points. Shazier lost for the season.
Bengals come from behind to beat steelers 27-24.
