The Return of Mike Wallace: Week 1

The Pittsburgh Steelers came out victorious in week 1 against a tough Broncos defense in convincing fashion 27-12. Ben Roethlisberger had a great game completing 76% of his passes and tossing 3 touchdowns. There were 2 big stories that came out of week 1 for the team. Number 1 the return of Mike Wallace. Wallace was with the team from 2009-2012 and was arguably the Steelers best receiver at the time. He was picked up in week 4 of the preseason by the team once again and is once again a starting receiver for Big Ben. In week 1 he had 3 catches and also took a jet sweep for a touchdown. Week 1 also had some low points for the team however as Star linebacker Ryan Shazier suffered an abdominal tear and will not be active for the team again until week 7. That is the last thing the Pittsburgh Steelers were hoping for. Breakout star of the week was Quincy Enunwa who had over 100 yards and a touchdown for the gold and black. Next week the team faces off against the Tennessee Titans.
