The Arrowhead - Week 2 Preview

It's another edition of The Arrowhead, where last week the Chiefs got embarrassed under the lights in New England, falling 44-14 on the road. Alex Smith and the offense was unable to find a rhythm as rookie WR Chesson made some plays but also had a few critical drops. This rushing game struggled mightily in New England, where insult was compounded with an injury to RB Charcandrick West.

A dislocated ankle will keep him sidelined over the course of the next 8 weeks and the KC organization is looking into other RB options as they consider moving West to IR which would effectively cap the season for him. Tyreek Hill was moved down into the slot but we'll expect him to be rotated in a lot more via other packages and formations.

The Chiefs are seeking their first win and will hope to do so in their home opener as they welcome the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend. The young QB Carson Wentz is coming to town where he threw for over 100 yds with a TD and INT in last week's loss to the Redskins. The Chiefs look to right the ship and get back to .500 and will have to do so without MLB Derrick Johnson who was traded to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for a 3rd Rd pick in the upcoming draft. This means that the young Reggie Ragland will be one of the starting MLBs going forward, and this is a team that can ill-afford any further injuries.
