The Arrowhead - Looking Ahead

WKXT85

Starter
Welcome back to another edition of The Arrowhead, the Chiefs fall in New York despite seemingly having found their rhythm on offense under the helm of Mahomes. Mahomes has looked the part of a franchise QB since being promoted to the starter, since then Kansas City has found their stride, but too little too late as they fall to 3-7 in a thriller against the Giants. Looking ahead Kansas City is looking for other WR options outside of Tyreek Hill. Conley has looked good as has De'Anthony Thomas but the Chiefs are looking for more options. In addition they're looking to revamp this offensive line across the board as the inconsistency of the running game was made clear today as this line struggled to open holes for Kareem Hunt, but did an exceptional job of protecting Mahomes.

On the defensive side of the ball, Kansas City is excited to get Steven Nelson back in the offseason and will return Terrance Mitchell to play opposite of Marcus Peters but they're expecting Nelson to eventually take Mitchell's spot following recovery. This front 7 is young with Reggie Ragland leading the charge at ILB and Dadi Nicholas and Dee Ford waiting in the wings to replace Houston and Hali. The age of Eric Berry and Ron Parker are concerns that the Chiefs will also look to address in the upcoming offseason as they seek young safeties who can eventually be entrusted with the starting roles.
