Stars See Action in Falcons' 20-13 Win Over Browns

After most of the Falcons' stars didn't see the field in Week 1 of the Preseason, they got their first taste of action this week as Atlanta traveled to Cleveland to face the Browns. The first team managed to get a field goal on the board before being taken out after the 1st quarter, but it was an impressive drive that ended up setting up that field goal. The biggest positive coming out of the first quarter was that no starter sustained an injury.

Matt Schaub once again led out the 2nd team offense, but this time he faces some competition for that spot, as recently signed QB Michael Vick returned to the Falcons for the first time since 2006. Despite the competition, Schaub was still impressive as he threw for 122 yards 2 TD and 1 INT.

However, the most impressive part of the Falcons' offensive attack in this game was, without a doubt, Tevin Coleman. Who, on 13 carries, racked up 88 yards. Coleman was tough to bring down, and was huge part of the Falcons' win. Dan Quinn was extremely happy with Coleman:

Tevin did a great job. He was running hard, getting through tackles. Doing pretty much everything you want to see out of a running back. He's got a bright future with this team.

As for Michael Vick, he didn't do all that much to show he should earn that backup QB job over Matt Schaub, as the one INT he threw was an ugly one.

However, it was not all sunshine in this game, as 4th year receiver Nick Williams went down with a dislocated hip, which will sideline him for at least 8 weeks.

Overall, the Falcons were impressive in this game, leading 20-6 at one point before Cleveland scored a garbage time TD. The win this week helped Atlanta improve to 2-0 on the preseason. Next week, Atlanta travels to Miami to take on the Dolphins.

Here are the highlights from this week's win:
