Press: Good win. Defense clearly dominated them, holding them to only 15 yards running and 104 yards passing. Offense we were expecting more. Teddy had good numbers, almost perfect QB rating but wasn't the passing game we were expecting. Rushing game barely picked up 59 yards in 19 carries. Why were you guys struggling so much on offense?

Coach: They had a pretty good pass rush. They were getting a lot of pressure on our offensive line, and decided to slow it down, minimize potential turnovers. We were able to do that, and still win the game, defense and offense both were able to keep control of game.

Press: Looking at the number McKinnon looks to be the better beat on starter than Peterson at this time. You guys given any thought to letting McKinnon start? Also , what can you tell us about the HB picked up last year in draft that has yet to start, will he be seeing any play time?

Coach: McKinnon does great for certain situations, two entirely different backs. A lot of time it depends on what the opponent shows us on defense. Who we think is the right personnel for the job. Taylor has been coming along, getting some great mentoring from Peterson. We hope to get him on the field this season . He's ready to go, and works hard every practice, so when we feel the time is right, he'll be out there.

Press: What can you say about the defense, they were hitting on all cylinders this week, really got after Geno Smith. Kept Royals with only 1 reception for 7 yards all game. Keeping them out of the endzone the entire game. Only 15 yards of rushing yards allowed Where you expecting this kind of performance?

Coach: We had been reviewing tape, and we knew if we got him startled he doesn't do well. So we just kept the pressure on him. Knew they would want to air it out, but receivers can't make plays if they aren't getting the ball, and I felt our guys matched up well against their offensive line. After the miss tackles from last week, we worked hard on wrapping up plays, and they did a lot better job of it this week.

Press: Next week you host the Saints, a team with a strong running game. Mark Ingram has had a great season and with Turbine you got double trouble on the ground. They also have a defense that has had success making turnovers. What will you be working on to prepare for them?

Coach: Should be a great matchup, we'll be working on keeping Bridgewater in a position to make plays, and not make turnovers. Beyond that, you'll have to wait and see.
