As Aaron Rodgers and the Packers take on the 2017 season there seems to be an overwhelming understanding that this year must be better and this must be their year... Right?

After a less than impressive finish to last year, the team has been working hard in the offseason to pick up the pieces. With a couple of great additions to the newly improved defensive line the Packers hope to be more physical in the trenches. Defense wins Championships and the team has had this in mind since the last down of the 2016 year.

One of these additions Brandon Mebane recently found a new home in Green Bay and is anxious to open the season against his former Super Bowl Champion comrades he left in Seattle. With a couple of good years left he plans to retire now a Packer and polish off a superb NFL career.

Veteran Clay Matthews leads this hungry defense into the new year. He states "The guys feel they must be more focused, sometimes more patient, and most importantly more resilient. Defense is about holding your ground, and hitting the guy with the ball harder than he hits you." Here in Green Bay fans are ready to see some of that hard hitting and have very high hopes for the season.
