Season 1 Week 5​

​

The Jaguars and the 6'6 315 pound RT agree to a 5 year extension. Joekel, rated the 12th best RT in the NFL, has been pretty good early on, and owner Chris Bigtex made it clear that Joekel will be a staple in his run with this team.. So far Joekel is the only Jaguar re-signed... Extension consists of 5 years $29M.

Season 1 Week 9

​

The Jaguars re-sign SS Johnathan Cyprien to a 3 year $9.69M extension. The Jaguars are being very specific who will remain on this roster as they continue rebuilding, and it looks like Cyprien made the cut. Playing opposite of Gipson, Cyprien has done a well enough job holding down the left side of the field and shows he's not afraid to come up and make a tackle on runningbacks. This is exactly the kind of safety Bigtex likes in his defense. Cyprien was excited to stay and made the re-signing process easy! Here's to three more years with #37!!

Season 1 Week 11

Albert Wilson and the Jaguars finally come to terms on a contract extension. It took weeks of negotiating but the final dollar amount is a 3 year $12.5M extension. The team is thinking long term, but Albert knows his worth. Albert is a great WR who can also take kicks and punts. He can get open and make people miss in the open field. Wilson was acquired from KC along with a 5th round pick in this draft for OL Luke Bowanko. This re-signing solidifies that deal and gives the Jgaurs a solid slot option for the next 3 years. This makes only the third re-signing this year for the Jaguars! Wilson joins an exclusive club of just a few players who will return to this organization! After the extension was given, Albert hauled in 2 catches for 24 yards in the Lions win.

Season 1 Week 15

​

The Jaguars made a huge statement this week. They re-signed two offensive lineman this week. 2nd string C Patrick Omameh and 2nd string RT Josh Wells. That's right. Two second string OL got long term contracts. Omameh signs for 4 years $11.7M, and Wells inked a 3 year $8.39M contract. Jaguars are right in the middle of the road in rushing offense this year at 14th, and these two are two of the best run blocking OL the Jaguars have. This signing really shows the direction and future of the team with the young HB core that Jacksonville has!
